Mica, the name given to a group of minerals characterized by their formation in distinct layers, is the inspiration for the property and offers a perfect balance of calming and exciting atmospheres.

Inspired by the energetic thought and movement of lightning, NEXT reflects a lot of the characteristics of this conceptual thought.
UH HUH Honey explores the health and beauty benefits of 100% natural and raw honey. Products ranging from honey and royal jelly, to honeycomb creams and lotions, all of the options the company provides not only are just fun snacks and smell good lotions, they also hold so many health benefits to the human body. This workplace focuses on unity, engagement and most importantly, sustainability. Using earth tones, environmentally friendly materials and strategic 45-degree angle layouts, the design of this building encourages efficiency and community.
By having a versatile name, ACHILLES is able to open its doors to a variety of people interested. The Ancient Greek hero Achilles brings attention to the meaning behind the name. The “Achilles Heel” means weakness. For some people, their “weakness” is expensive, high-end accessories, but it’s something one indulges in every once and a while.
In the heart of Barcelona, Spain lies a contemporary hot-spot for locals and tourists from all over to come and enjoy lunch, dinner, or even a dance and a drink. Inspired by Antoni Gaudi’s architecture and his concept of positive and negative space, this colorful, yet modern restaurant pushes these ideas to the limit also showering mood stimulation over all those who dine. Locals and visitors can come and enjoy the 5-star food while being influenced and entertained by the space around them. Opening at 11 AM, this business is not only open for lunch and dinner, but it morphs into a lively night club – staying open for a grand total of 17 hours – hence the name.
Inspired by the influence of water in the city of New Orleans, the FEMA lamp was designed stemming from the industrialized concept of leakage and water damage.
Inspired by the introvert’s personality profile established in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Chrysalis chair offers a more private sitting experience while still being exposed to the outside world. The large side panels and lounge-grade recline allows the user have a more remote space where they can escape to focus on themselves and take on their inner world. This experience is similar to the Pupa stage of a the butterfly life cycle.
Door jambs, partition types, and millwork drawings
The goal of this project was to construct a chair from reclaimed materials. The Buggie Cart provides a functional space to sit built from an old shopping cart.
The Butterfly Box was built from a piece of 2 x 4. To follow the concept, 3 more cuts were made with a two-inch hole saw to ensure that butterflies were able to survive in the enclosure. The box is stained and gilded with gold leaf.

Given the sketches of the umbrella chairs and vintage trunks, AutoCad shop drawings were created and Photoshop files were rendered to replicate the exact layouts of the patches. The furniture pieces are designed from some of Ashley Longshore’s infamous paintings.
